APPLE SAUCE-- THE CUISINE PROJECT ORGANIZED BY MS. BARTELL
On the morning of the 18th in April, each group of fundraising for the Fashion show should send one or two people to come to GCA to attend the cuisine project organized by Ms. Bartell. The students should follow some French exchange students in NFLS or some teachers in GCA to make some cuisine. I went to GCA for my group on that morning.
There were 10 students in my group, which from 6 different classes in grade 10. Our cooking project is Apple sauce. Miguel is a French student who was charged of teaching us how to make apple sauce. He is a humorous boy .
We bought the ingredients. We needed 6 apples and 1 Hami melon to do the apple sauce. We first wash the apples and the Hami melon, then we chop them into very small pieces, and put into the bowl. we started boiling.
At the beginning we didn’t know how to use the electricity stove, the pan cannot be heated. I borrowed an iron pot from the cafeteria. Luckily, it worked.
We put all the small pieces into the pot and then added a lot of water, we boiled them. A lot of waste water came out very fast. We dumped the waste water into the bucket, and added some sugar in it. The apple sauce was done. The apple pieces became very soft and it smelled really good.
How delicious the food was! I wanted to try more and more cuisine, it was so interesting!
